Many people have decided to add flax seed as a supplement to their diet so that they get enough Omega 3 essential fatty acids, Lilgnan, Mucilage, and other vitamins and minerals. Canadian flax seed offers all of these nutritional elements for proper nutrition.
Omega 3 essential fatty acids found in Canadian flax seed are very important for you to be healthy physically and mentally. However most of us don’t get enough of them in the diet we have adopted. The Omega 3 fatty acid found in flax seed is called Alpha Linolenic Acid, which is 59% of Canadian flax seed oil.
The body uses Alpha Linolenic Acid to create two other essential Omega 3 fatty acids – EPA and DHA. These three fatty acids are necessary for your body and brain to function properly. The brain is mainly fat so if you don’t get enough fatty acids you may suffer from depression, Attention Deficit Disorder, be at risk for Alzheimer’s, and experience other mental health concerns. They can also help lower the risk of heart disease, reduce inflammation, and lower your blood pressure and cholesterol level.
The amount of Lignan found in Canadian flax seed is very helpful for areas of your health including the prostrate, bones, breasts, and your heart. It is known to reduce the effects of menopause, prevent hair loss, and stop acne. It can also help prevent cancer. The Mucilage in Canadian flax seed serves as a natural laxative that is very mild. It also helps reduce the pain associated with stomach ulcers and Irritable Bowel Syndrome by removing the toxins in the bowel.
You will get a great source of fiber from Canadian flax seed – both soluble and insoluble. Both of them are beneficial for easy bowel movements and to help reduce cholesterol levels. It also contains various vitamins and minerals that assist with increasing energy levels, breaking down fats and proteins, and assisting with digestion. Some of these vitamins and minerals include Vitamins B1 and B6, Phosphorus, Copper, Magnesium, and Manganese.
Both Magnesium and Phosphorus assist with the development of strong bones and teeth. Magnesium also makes the heart, lungs, and kidneys strong. Copper is used to create hemoglobin for red blood cells. This allows the body to be able to carry enough oxygen. Manganese is helpful for tissues, the ability for blood to clot, and for sex hormones as outlined by the University of Maryland Medical Center.
Flax seed is a wonderful supplement that everyone can use in their diet to increase the amount of Omega 3 essential fatty acids, Lignan, Mucilage, fiber, and a variety of vitamins and minerals. You will soon notice your physical and mental health improves once you start taking it. You will lower your risk of heart disease and cholesterol levels, have regular bowel movements, have stronger teeth and bones, and you will have more energy.
